About the event

The Standby Lear, a play by John W. Lowell, delves into the psyche of an actor poised to step into a major role without cast rehearsal. It's the ultimate test of an actor's nerves, as we witness him rehearsing solo, only to face the daunting prospect of performing and the realization of neglecting personal commitments. Is he unraveling? With this event, Peter Galman, founder of Shakespeare Troupe, reunites with Patricia Wolf, his long-time partner both on and off stage, to share the spotlight again. Their chemistry, once described as "sparks flying," promises to captivate audiences anew. Guided by director and producer Jeremy Quinn, this staged reading transcends expectations, offering more than just a mere reading.
